Thakeham Village Day

The annual Thakeham Village Day is an event that we think the community appreciates but to ensure that this continues, the organising group urgently need more volunteers to get involved in advance of the event and on the day. Storrington Area Help Scheme

CAN YOU HELP? The Scheme is need of people with their own cars who would be willing to drive people to medical appointments.
Drivers DO NOT have to make a regular commitment, mileage allowance (50p/mile) is paid, clean driving licence and comprehensive insurance are essential.

Parish Council Community Group

You don’t need to be a Parish Council member to join our working group which coordinates events, communications and community projects. Contact the Parish Clerk by telephone on 01798 815 305 or by email to find out more.

Thakeham Village FC

Here at Thakeham Village we aim to provide the opportunity to participate in football to as many as we can. The club is currently looking for a Safety Officer, Charter Standard Coordinator, Respect Coordinator and Coaches and managers for the Youth Team. If any of these roles interest you, please contact Katherine Plant, Volunteer Coordinator by email.

West Chiltington and Thakeham Cricket Club

The club has a huge colts (kids) section and always need help with coaching and administration plus match day teas for the adult teams. If you wanted to play for any of our teams, we won’t stand in your way either. There is girls and boys coaching from school reception class upwards plus men’s and women’s teams to our over 50’s veterans team. We will still play most games at West Chiltington in 2019 but our 3rd XI and some colts matches will be at Abingworth as we bed the ground in.
