After reducing the speed limit on the B2139 (Jacket’s Hill) earlier this year, West Sussex County Council have agreed to reduce the speed limit on Greenhurst Lane to 40mph in 2020. We don’t have any exact timings for this yet but will provide further updates
West Sussex County Council have informed the parish council that they are reducing the gritting and snow ploughing commitments within the parish and wider areas due to budget cuts. Although the gritting route within Thakeham is largely unchanged, if we do get substantial snowfall there

The long-promised Monaghans front-of-site access changes, designed to discourage HGVs approaching via the narrow B2139 from the north, is moving forward finally. A contractor has now been appointed to carry out this work, although start date is subject to further detailed Highways permissions.
