Recent burglary in The Street – please be vigilant
A property in The Street was burgled between 10am Monday 7th and 6.30pm Tuesday 8th August.  Police say that they are linking this incident with two other burglaries in the area, in Two Mile Ash Road Horsham and Warnham.  If you saw anything or anyone unusual in The Street at the times above, or over coming days, please report it to the police.

TESLA planning application approved by Horsham District Council
This application, for two additional manufacturing units on the east side of Water Lane, was approved by HDC’s Development South Committee last week.  While much regretting the loss of another green field, Thakeham and Storrington & Sullington PCs were persuaded of the need to support this key local enterprise by not opposing the proposal.  Amongst conditions we have sought are improved pedestrian access at the north end of Water Lane.

Recreation developments
The new Abingworth football fields, with permanent goalposts, will shortly start being used by Thakeham FC and Ashington Cougars for the 2017/18 season.  At other times they are also available to the community for casual leisure use.

We have recently leafleted the High Bar Lane area seeking feedback from young residents on what improvements they would like to see in the play equipment at the High Bar Lane playground.  There is an online survey form open until 1st September.
