Halloween – WSCC Message

As we’re in the midst of a pandemic, knocking on doors trick or treating this Halloween isn’t recommended. So, this year, we’re asking all our residents to help #KeepWestSussexSafe and to ‘skelebrate’ in the comfort (and warmth) of your own homes. Here are some suggestions to keep the kids (and adults) entertained.

• Have a virtual pumpkin carving competition with your friends. Carve your pumpkins at home and share the results via Zoom, Google or Skype.
• Have fun decorating your house. There are lots of crafting ideas online.
• Have a Halloween movie night at home. Even for very young children there are some family favourites. Bake some Halloween treats to make it a special occasion.

We’re asking residents not to attend crowded costume parties, substitute facemasks for Halloween masks or go trick or treating – this includes leaving bowls of sweets outside your house.
