Message of thanks to the Covid-19 support group

Thakeham Support Group volunteers have been working hard, running errands, delivering shopping and collecting prescriptions to help other residents. A warm message of thanks has been received from Mark Donaghy, Chair West Sussex Local Pharmaceutical Committee.

“.. We have been overwhelmed by how communities and citizens have come together to help NHS community pharmacy contractors ensure that essential medicines get through to those who need them most…. We really do think all these people are a shining example of how giving just a little bit of time can make a big difference, and there’s never been a more appropriate time to recognise, appreciate and thank volunteers for the vital work they do for their communities…
Without help to distribute medicines and prescription we might not have been able to see as many patients as we did for non Covid-19 symptoms, helping take pressure off urgent care and GP services, or been able to source and re-stock the essential items that everyone wanted to have at home, or deep clean our premises regularly to help keep our patients and staff safe. Thank you again…”
