WSCC and HDC are working with local agencies (Horsham District Health and Wellbeing Partnership, Horsham District Older Peoples Forum, Age UK Horsham, Healthwatch West Sussex) to better understand the realities and experiences of local people living in the Horsham District, of their hospital treatment ‘from getting there to getting home’. As part of the research they are holding 2 public, free to attend ‘strawberry tea’ afternoon events where local people aged 50+ can come, discuss and share their hospital experiences of the last 12 months. The event details are:
Tuesday the 11th July 2017 1.45pm – 4.30pm at Parkside, County Hall North, Horsham
Thursday 13th July 2017 1.45pm – 4.30pm at the Steyning Centre, Fletchers Croft, Steyning.
To book a free place please phone Age UK Horsham 01403 260560. Transport may be able to be arranged. For those unable to get to the events there is also an online survey https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5RVJZZS
Peoples’ experiences and issues can then be combined with the newly available NHS statistics we have been supplied with (thanks to WSCC) which are proving to be both very informative and interesting. The information from peoples personal experiences, backed by actual NHS statistics is to enable us to make solid recommendations for improving services.Flyer for Hospital Episodes of Care Insight Events (final)
